Detail Itinerary for Mekong Delta With Island And City Tour From Sai Gon 4 Days 3 Nights

DAY 1: ARRIVAL ON SAI GON (NO MEAL)

• Viet Fun Travel’s staff will pick you up from International airport and drop you off at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

• Stay overnight in Sai Gon.

DAY 2: SAI GON CITY TOUR (B/L)

• Have a breakfast at hotel.

• 8:00am - 8:45am we will pick you up from hotel and visit War Crime Museum (This museum tells the story of war from the Vietnamese perspective. Exhibits include photographs, machinery, and weapons that depict the harsh realities of war).

• Thien Hau Temple (One of the most important pagodas in the city, this richly decorated temple is dedicated to Thien Hau, the Goddess of the Sea and patron of sailors. She is said to travel over the oceans on a mat and ride the clouds to wherever she desires).

• China town (Settled in the late 18th century, this labyrinthine section of Ho Chi Minh City bustles with restaurants, temples, exotic stores, and markets) and Binh Tay market (This is the main marketplace in China Town, where a great deal of wholesale trading occurs. Experience the commotion of this integral part of the city's daily business). Then we have a lunch at restaurant. 

• Afternoon: We visit Reunification Hall which was the residence of the President Ngo Dinh Diem of the former South Vietnam until 1975 (1960s - Apr 1975s). You will see many interesting things: formal meeting rooms, private bedrooms, war situation rooms 10 meter beneath earth’s level.

• This address today still holds many important functions in Ho Chi Minh City. We have guide who speaks your language (English speaking tour guide) to tell you important historical facts about this building and some French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral (Located in the heart of the city, this cathedral was built by the French in the late 1877s. A large statue of the Virgin Mary greets you as you walk into this neo- Romanesque cathedral, adorned by two tall spires flanking either side). Note: Until now, Notre Dame Cathedral has been repaired for 2 years.

• General Post Office (Designed by Gustav Eiffel, the Post Office is a testament to the French presence in the late 1800s. The look and feel of this grand building is like an elegant railway station).

• City Hall (Find out why this is one of the most photographed buildings in Ho Chi Minh City. Constructed in the early 1900s, City Hall is a beautiful example of French colonial architecture).

• Finish Ho Chi Minh City – Sai Gon City Tour 1 Day at 4:30pm.

• Stay overnight in Sai Gon.

DAY 3: ONE DAY MEKONG DELTA WITH MY THO ISLAND TOUR (B/L)

• Have a breakfast at hotel.

• 7:30am - 8:00am we pick you up from hotel and begin to visit Mekong Delta Day Tours Vietnam (My Tho - Ben Tre) - Island Tour.

• 9:30am - 10:00am We will arrive in My Tho. Embark a made of timber motor boat (20 minutes) to Unicorn Island. On this boat along the river’s bank, you’ll be passing through unpolished creeks, enchanting fisherman's port, stilt houses (half on land, half on water).

• From there, we’ll continue to take you to a bee farm where you have a chance to taste a charming cup of unsophisticated honey tea. After that we walk around peaceful villages and watch the life of rustic people in Mekong Delta.

• Moreover, you enjoy the fresh atmosphere and get things small and personal from this journey now. We are divided into many groups and get on small row boats. With this 15 minutes trip, you’ll see all kind of interesting transportation modes that local people use to move around, while enjoying the fresh air along the canal and wonderful water coconut tree landscape. Get away from the city, that is it all about!

• After you enjoy its serenity, let's get back to the large motor boat for something different. You'll explore some orchards along 2 long sides of a canal. Then we cruise to a village where the sweat smell coconut candies are in the air. To satisfy your curiosity, we'll get to a village that has many small shops that make coconut candy and hand-made items from coconut trees of Mekong Delta.  You might learn that those people can wonderfully make dozens of useful products out of coconut trees. It is actually attached from the villagers' daily life.

• The time now should be around 12 noon. Time for lunch! Let's go back to restaurant for that.

• One of the boat’s stops during this trip is at a seasonable fruits garden where you can enjoy many different types of tasty tropical fruits while checking out the folk music that is typical to only the people in Southern Vietnam.

• We end our sightseeing trip.  On the way back to Sai Gon by coach with air con/car, we'll have a stop at an interesting point to rest and also have photographs (if time permits).

• As Mekong Delta 1 Day Tours Vietnam (My Tho - Ben Tre) ends, you will return Sai Gon by coach with air con at 6:00pm - 6:30pm.

• Stay overnight in Sai Gon.

DAY 4: DEPARTURE (B)

• Have a breakfast at hotel.

• Private car (van) will pick you up at hotel and transfer you to airport. Finish Mekong delta with island and city tour from sai gon 4 days 3 nights.
