Detail Itinerary for Taste of Vietnam Tour 9D8N (Saigon, Mekong, Hanoi, Ha Long)

DAY 1: ARRIVAL SAIGON/HO CHI MINH CITY - TASTE OF VIETNAM

• Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport, meet by our representative and transfer to hotel for check-in.

Included: Airport transfer and accommodation.

Excluded: Meals, a guide, travel insurance, tip and personal expenses.

DAY 2: SAIGON – MEKONG DELTA TOUR: MY THO – BEN TRE (BREAKFAST/LUNCH)

• 07.40am we will pick you up at your hotel and depart to Mekong, board a wooden motor boat to Unicorn Island. On this boat along the river’s bank, you’ll be passing through natural creeks and quiet villages and watch rural people going to work. You will see an interesting fisherman's port, stilt houses. One of the boat’s stops during this trip is at a large orchard that has many different types of tasty tropical fruits for your enjoyments.
• Another boat stop is for the Turtle Island 1 hr from the previous one. Here, on a small row boat, you’ll see interesting transportation modes that local people use to move around. From there, we’ll take you to a bee farm where you have a chance to taste a tasteful cup of authentic honey teawhile checking out the folk music that is typical to only the people in Southern Vietnam.
• After that we’ll take you to a village where you can smell the flavor of coconut candies being made many yards away. This is a great chance to witness how village people make candy and handcrafted items from coconuts. You might learn that those people can amazingly make dozens of useful products out of coconut trees. As your journey ends and drop you off at your hotel.

DAY 3: SAIGON - CU CHI - SAIGON – HANOI (BREAKFAST/LUNCH)

• 8.30am - After breakfast at hotel, a one and half hour drive takes you to Cu Chi where human knowledge has been enriched by experiencing an web-like tunnels system of more than 200km in length which used to be the shelters of guerrillas during the war against American troops.
• Return to Ho Chi Minh and visit to The Hundred Years Red Cathedral (Notre Dame Cathedral), The Old Post Office, The People’s Committee Hall and War Museum.
• Transfer to airport to flight to Hanoi at 19.00pm.
• 21.00pm arrive in Hanoi. Our driver pick-up from airport and transfer to hotel in Hanoi

• 08.00 - 08.15: Pick up at your hotel and depart for Ha Long city.
• 11.45 – 12.00: At Halong city, You will board your Cruise, check into your cabin and enjoy first class lunch while you are cruising through thousands amazing islands and islet passing by Stone Dog Islet, Floating fishing Village, Incense Burner, Fighting Cocks, Duck and Finger Islets...

With Superior Types:

• 14.45: Visit Surprising Cave (the most beautiful one in Halong Bay).
• 15.45 – 18.15: Enjoy an hour or more kayaking through slide rock cliffs before swimming(weather permitted).
• 18.30: Board back the Cruise, take shower and relax on upper deck bar.
• 19.00 – 20.30: Enjoy a specially dinner in a romantic atmosphere.
• 21.00: Evening activities – enjoy movie night, board games, and squid fishing or relax at leisure. Stay overnight on junk.

With Deluxe Types:

• 15:45: Visit Surprising Cave(the most beautiful one in Halong Bay).
• 16:45 – 18:00: Enjoy an hour or more kayaking through slide rock cliffs before swimming and joining some competitions for prize and fun, on white sandy beach (weather permitted).
• 18:00 – 18:45: Board back the Cruise, take shower and enjoy special cocktail party on the sundeck before dinner time.
• 19:00 – 20:30: Enjoy a specially prepared dinner in a romantic atmosphere.
• 21:00: Evening activities – enjoy movie night, board games, Karaoke singing and squid fishing or relax at leisure. Stay overnight on junk.

• 07.15: Have breakfast. Continue the cruise through Halong Bay.
• 09.30: Check-out the cabin
• 11:15: Have lunch
• 12.00: Sail back Halong pier and take a private transport back to Hanoi

With Deluxe Type:

• 07:45: Have better breakfast than Superior & Deluxe Types.
• 08:30: Start cruising to visit Van Gia floating village and passing by Halong Pearl Farm.
• 09:30- 10:00: Keep cruising to visit Halong bay. Enjoy the cooking course after you pack your things and leave the cabin.
• 11:30 – 12:00: Sail back Ha Long pier, have a lunch and take a private transport back to Hanoi.

DAY 6: HA NOI CITY - SAIGON (BREAKFAST/LUNCH)

• 8.00am: Pick up at Hotel for departure city tour. Visit by coach trip along the Hanoi Old Quarter.
• We will take you past Hoan Kiem Lake, see the peaceful waters, and visit Ngoc Son temple. Then visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum. Enjoy the architectural and historical aspects of Uncle Ho's final resting-place.
• Just next door is Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts. Lying to one side of the >Mausoleum is the One Pillar Pagoda; founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049 the structure has become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi. Continue to visit the Quan Thanh Temple (Taoist, dating from the Ly Dynasty) and Buddhist Tran Quoc Pagoda on West lake (One of the oldest in Vietnam). Have a lunch.
• PM: After lunch proceed to visit the Ethnology Museum, continue to visit the Literature Temple and Quoc Tu Giam. Vietnam's first university constructed in 1070, it"s gardens and well-preserved architecture offers a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam's past.
• 17.30pm: Our driver will transfer you to airport and flight back Saigon.
• 21.55pm: Arrive in Saigon, transfer to hotel.
• Overnight in Saigon at hotel
