Detail Itinerary for Vietnam Tours and Travel 12 Days - Sai Gon Mekong Hoian Hue Hanoi Halong
You can see hundreds of boats packed with fruits, vegetables, foods… in Cai Rang floating market- Can Tho. You will pass through small canals to visit Unicorn Island in My Tho and many famous landscapes in Ho Chi Minh City as well as Cu Chi Tunnel, Hoi An, Hue, Halong Bay and Hanoi.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL ON SAIGON
Arrive at Saigon Airport where you will meet your guide and transfer to your hotel for check-in.

DAY 2: SAIGON – MY THO – BEN TRE – CAN THO (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)
07.45am - 08.00amour guide picks you up from hotel and travel by tourist bus to My Tho
9:30am - 10.00am, arrive in My Tho. Board a wooden motor boat (20 minutes) to Unicorn Island. On this boat along the river’s bank, you’ll be passing through natural creeks, interestingfisherman's port, stilt houses (half on land, half on water)
From there, we’ll take you to a bee farm where you have a chance to taste a tasteful cup of authentic honey tea. After that we walk around quiet villages and watch the life of rural people in Mekong Delta.
Things get small and personal now. We are divided into many groups and get on small row boats. During this 15 minutes trip, you’ll witness all kind of interesting transportation modes that local people use to move around, while enjoying the fresh air along the canal and beautiful water coconut tree scenery. Away from the city, that is it all about!
When you feel it's enough for the serenity, let's get back to the large motor boat for something different. You'll cruise a canal whose 2 long sides are orchards. After that, we cruise to a village where the sweat smell coconut candies are in the air. To satisfy your curiosity, we'll get to a village that has many small shops that make coconut candy and handcrafted items from coconut trees of Mekong Delta. You might learn that those people can amazingly make dozens of useful products out of coconut trees. It is indeed inseparable from the villagers' life.
Have a lunch at the restaurant.
One of the boat’s stops during this trip is at a seasonable orchard that has many different types of tasty tropical fruits for your enjoyments. You can enjoy the fruits for free while checking out the folk music that is typical to only the people in Southern Vietnam.
As your journey ends, you will return to My Tho by motorized boat and then travel to Can Tho.

DAY 3: CAI RANG FLOATING MARKET – SAIGON (BREAKFAST/LUNCH)
After breakfast, around 7:15 am, we board a boat and travel for about 40 minutes to get to our first spectacular landscape ---- Cai Rang floating market...
This is the largest of its type in the whole Mekong delta. During this visit, you'll have a chance to board a merchant boat that sells pineapples which come from Can Tho City.
After that, we continue on our riverine route for 5-7 minutes and then on foot for about 5 minutes to reach a noodle and a rice paper factories.
The next stop is a rice processing factory where you'll learn the many steps that transform "rice with a brown cover" to the delicious and beautiful rice grain that we consume daily.
The time now should be around 12 noon. Time for lunch! Let's go back to Can Tho for that.
We end our sightseeing trip at downtown Can Tho. On the way back to Ho Chi Minh by bus/private car, we'll have a stop at an interesting point to rest and also have photographs.
The stop will be brief, ensuring that we come back to SG before 7 PM

DAY 4: ONE DAY HO CHI MINH CITY TOUR (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)
08.30am - 09.00am we will visit War Crime Museum (This museum tells the story of war from the Vietnamese perspective. Exhibits include photographs, machinery, and weapons that depict the harsh realities of war).
Thien Hau Temple (One of the most important pagodas in the city, this richly decorated temple is dedicated to Thien Hau, the Goddess of the Sea and patron of sailors. She is said to travel over the oceans on a mat and ride the clouds to wherever she desires).
China town (Settled in the late 18th century, this labyrinthine section of Ho Chi Minh City bustles with restaurants, temples, exotic stores, and markets) and Binh Tay market (This is the main marketplace in China Town, where a great deal of wholesale trading occurs. Experience the commotion of this integral part of the city's daily business). Then we have a lunch at restaurant.
Afternoon: We visit Reunification Hall which was the residence of the President Ngo Dinh Diem of the former South Vietnam until 1975 (1960s - Apr 1975s). You will see many interesting things: formal meeting rooms, private bedrooms, war situation rooms 10 meter beneath earth’s level.
This address today still holds many important functions in HCMC. We have guide who speaks your language to tell you important historical facts about this building and some French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral (Located in the heart of the city, this cathedral was built by the French in the late 1877s. A large statue of the Virgin Mary greets you as you walk into this neo-Romanesque cathedral, adorned by two tall spires flanking either side).
General Post Office (Designed by Gustav Eiffel, the Post Office is a testament to the French presence in the late 1800s. The look and feel of this grand building is like an elegant railway station).
City Hall (Find out why this is one of the most photographed buildings in Ho Chi Minh City. Constructed in the early 1900s, City Hall is a beautiful example of French colonial architecture). Finish Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City Tour at 04.30 pm.
7.30pm: Dinner Cruise on Saigon River.

DAY 5: HALF DAY CU CHI TUNNELS – DANANG (BREAKFAST)
08.30am - 09.00am our guide picks you up from hotel and transfer to Cu Chi Tunnels. Excursion Cu Chi Tunnels, an underground tunnels network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the struggle for independence. It took about 25 years to build this underground city, which has living rooms, kitchens, hospitals, weapon factories, storage facilities and command centre. The tunnel system was an excellent way for the Vietcong to move around the countryside undetected by the Americans and home to around 10,000 people who lived underground for several years.
Before we go underground, we watch a short introductory video showing how the tunnels were constructed. We then spend the next hour exploring the maze of tunnels. Also on display are various mantraps and the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500 pound bombs dropped by B52 bombers. We then drive back to Ho Chi Minh City. On the way, drop you off near the airport. Then you will flight to Danang at 16.00PM. Our driver pick-up from airport and transfer to hotel in Hoian.

DAY 6: HERITAGE HOI AN CITY ( BREAKFAST/LUNCH)
Today we explore ancient Hoi An on foot, with its narrow, beautifully preserved streets. We visit ancient family temples, the 16th century Japanese Covered Bridge and the splendid Phung Hung House, home to an old merchant family for over two centuries.
The afternoon is free to relax or to explore further Hoi An’s exquisite architecture and lanes.

DAY 7: HERITAGE HOIAN - HUE (BREAKFAST)
Overland to Hue–the first World Heritage site recognized by UNESCO in Vietnam (110 km). Admire beautiful landscapes on the road through the Hai Van Pass with panoramic views of clouds, the sea, and the mountains. Hue is a beautifully located City on the banks of the perfume River. As Vietnam's capital throughoutthe Nguyen Dynasty (1802-1945), as a center of Vietnam Buddhism and scholarship and finally as the setting for some of Vietnam War’s most bloody fighting. Hue provides a unique Window into Vietnam and its complex past.
Upon arrival at Hue, we will visit the impressive home of the Nguyen dynasty emperors - the Citadel, Thien Mu Pagoda. Much of the citadel was destroyed during the Offensive in 1968 but is gradually being restored then.
Then get on the boat for a sight -seeing along the Perfume River to see fishing village and sampan on the way back. Do no miss the Sunset on the Perfume River!
Back to town at 04.30 pm.

DAY 8: HUE CITY - HANOI (BREAKFAST/LUNCH)

12.30pm: Back to Town for lunch.

After lunch, 13.00pm we will transfer you to airport to flight to Hanoi at 14.20pm.

DAY 9: HA NOI CITY TOUR (BREAKFAST/LUNCH)
08:00am - 08:30am Our guide & driver will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter. Then visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum. Enjoy the architectural and historical aspects of Uncle Ho's final resting-place. Just next door is Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts. Lying to one side of the Mausoleum is the One Pillar Pagoda founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049 the structure has become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi . Continue to visit the Quan Thanh Temple (Taoist dating from the Ly Dynasty) and Buddhist Tran Quoc Pagoda on West lake (One of the oldest in Vietnam). Have a lunch at loval restaurant.
PM: After lunch, proceed to visit the Ethnology Museum continue to visit hiretage the Literature Temple and Quoc Tu Giam. Vietnam's first university constructed in 1070 it's gardens and well-preserved architecture offers a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam's past. We will take you past Hoan Kiem Lake see the peaceful waters and visit Ngoc Son temple. For the end of the tour journey visit by coach trip along the Hanoi Old Quarter. Free for shopping.

15:45pm: Visit Surprising Cave (the most beautiful one in Halong Bay)
16:45pm – 18:00pm: Enjoy an hour or more kayaking through slide rock cliffs before swimming and joining some competitions for prize and fun, on white sandy beach (weather permitted).
18:00pm – 18:45pm: Board back the Cruise, take shower and enjoy special cocktail party on the sundeck before dinner time.
