It is located on the river that draws borders between three provinces Tien Giang, Vinh Long and Ben Tre. Every day many boats filled almost everything gathers here. DAY 1: SAI GON - CAI BE - CAN THO
Today’s tour will begin at 07:00. Leave the busy streets of Ho Chi Minh City and drive 2 hours to the Mekong Delta Tours 2 Days 1 Night
Upon arriving in Cai Be, have a look at Cao Dai Temple which is one of the third religions in Vietnam, then board a private boat and start exploring the Delta.
Savor the taste of locally grown fresh fruits, relish the refreshing breeze while the boat glides through the river. Go ashore and stroll through a local village and flourishing fruit gardens. From here, take a sampan through the narrow canals around the island, appreciating the tranquility and lush landscapes of this part of the Delta.
Next, explore the local culture by visiting families who specialize in handicraft products. It’s a unique opportunity to witness traditional techniques and learn about the cultural significance of these crafts.
Leaving the serene island, the boat takes on a brief journey along a busy area. The river banks bustle with various businesses, while local boats dot the middle of the river, creating a vibrant and bustling atmosphere.
Stop at small family-run workshops making local specialties such as rice popcorn and coconut candy before arriving at a house that has been lived in by more than four generations and is a great example of traditional ‘Mandarin’ architecture. A delicious home-cooked Vietnamese meal will be served for lunch here. Then take a bike ride around the village to have a better understanding of the local life in Mekong River.
As the sun begins to dip lower in the sky it is time to return to Cai Be and onwards to Can Tho.
The next we travel to Can Tho. Over night in Can Tho.

DAY 2: MEKONG DELTA: CAN THO - CAI RANG FLOATING MARKET - HO CHI MINH CITY | Son Islet Community-Based Tourism
7:00 am, Have a breakfast at hotel and visit to Cai Rang Floating Market. While crossing the Mekong River, observe the daily activities of local people on the banks, see traditional - style houses in which the local people live as well as beautiful orchards, busy ships - building yards and bustling markets where they make their livelihood.
After that, our tour guide takes you to some traditional workshops. You have a great time learning how locals make “Hu Tieu” (rice vermicelli). They are soft, flat, slippery and slightly chewy. Then, the boat carries you to another place to enjoy pineapple (known as the queen of fruits) that is fresh and delicious. The seller will peel the pineapple on the spot for you to enjoy right on the boat.
10:00 am, after paying a visit to the colorful floating market check-out and disembark before exploring Son islet - an islet in the middle of Hau River which is separated not far away from the mainland with alluvial consolidating green orchids all year round and the honest, lovely and enthusiastic people.
The first experience in Son islet where you will visit a floating fish farm on the Hau River. The fisherman has a collection of fish. Especially, do not forget to check-in “Foot massage with Koi fish”.
Walking around Son islet among 80 households, you experience picking the fruit and enjoy it from the tree when you visit the garden with local people. Do not miss the monkey bridge
You have the opportunity to make traditional cakes and pop rice by yourself or watch unique snakehead fish performances.
It’s a good idea and very meaningful with the flying menu. Flying menu” is a unique style of Son islet, each family will prepare one dish and serve it all to you, the benefits from community-based tourism will be shared and filled with inhabitants.
12:00 pm, having lunch with many specialties on this islet. After this insightful visit, return to the hotel.
We end our sightseeing trip at downtown Can Tho. On the way back to Ho Chi Minh by coach/private car, we'll have a stop at an interesting point to rest and also have photographs.
The stop will be brief, ensuring that we come back to SG before 7PM, finishing Mekong Delta Tour 2 Days

Boat schedule from Rach Gia To Phu Quoc: we have 8am and 13pm. It takes 2 hours and 30 minutes.
