Detail Itinerary for Mekong Delta 3 Days 2 Nights Tour (Cai Be - Can Tho - Chau Doc)

DAY 1: SAI GON - CAI BE - CAN THO

• 07:30am:This morning we will start Mekong Delta Tour 3 Days 2 Nights (Cai Be - Can Tho - Chau Doc).
• 10.30am: When you arrive in Cai Be, you’ll board a motorized boat that takes you to pass the floating market in Cai Be in Mekong Delta and spend time there for enoying fresh coconut water. Furthermore, you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and experience the daily life of rural people.
• Next, we walk to visit a coconut candy, a crispy rice cake factory (served free with premium hot tea) and you might buy coconut candy and hand-made items from coconut trees of Mekong Delta for souvenir.
• When you feel it's enough for the serenity, let's get back to the large motor boat for enjoying something difference in Tan Phong Island (or Tan Phong Island). It is famous for fresh fruits the whole year. On the way , we have an excellent opportunity to look the sightseeing along 2 long sidess' river and find out the life of rural people in Mekong Delta.
• The time now should be around 12 noon. Time for lunch! Let's go to the local people's house for that (in the seasonable fruits garden).
• After lunch, we are divided into many groups and get on small row boats. During this 20 minutes trip, your boat will zigzag through a maze of shadow canals to enjoy the fresh air along the canal and wonderful water coconut tree scenery. Then we will ride bicycles (if weather permits) and roaming through a village about 20 minutes to check out our natural scenery with quiet and peaceful villages or we can relax on a hammock for a short rest in Mekong Delta.
• The next we travel to Can Tho. Over night in Can Tho.

DAY 2: CAN THO - CAI RANG FLOATING MARKET - TRA SU FOREST - CHAU DOC

• After breakfast, around 7:15 am, we board a boat and travel to Cai Rang floating market.
• After that, we continue on our riverine route for 5-7 minutes and then on foot for about 5 minutes to reach a noodle and a rice paper factories.
• Next place to visit today, Truc Lam Phuong Nam Buddhist Meditation Monastery: It is the place for people who want to know about Zen and it is one of the most beautiful temple in Vietnam. With a large area, 2 lakes, specific structure and loads of statues. It makes you feel relaxed!
• The time now should be around 12 noon. Time for lunch! Let's go back to Can Tho for that.
• After this, our coach takes you to Chau Doc. On the way, we will stop at Long Xuyen to visit Crocodile farm (If time permits). And we will continue to Tra Su Forest. You seat on long boat with a motor which allows you through water covered in green lilies. A bit surreal as it almost likes land, enjoy precious moments living in harmony with nature as well as the wholesome atmosphere. You will be flabbergasted by small houses on stilts with rudimentary bamboo ceilings that are firmly tightened to cajuput trees, making an unusual existence in the quiet ambience of the forest.
• You stand on a 23.5m high watch tower in the midst of the forest; enjoy a panorama of the vast greenery spotted with the white of storks below and surrounding countryside.
• You have a BBQ buffet dinner in Chau Doc.
• We stay overnight in Chau Doc.

DAY 3: CHAU DOC - SAI GON

• Tay An Pagoda was constructed in 1847 at the base of Sam Mountain in An Giang. Then it was restored extensively in 1958. It is beautifully decorated with many elements from the Cham, Vietnamese, Chinese and Indian cultures. The interior and main gate follows Vietnamese design, having figures of 2 dragons and lions fighting for chrysanthemums, pearls, lotus blossoms and apricots trees on the roofline romp.
• Ba Chua Xu Temple, also known as the Holy Mother of the Realm is a solemn and ancient architecture built in 1820. The layout of the temple looks like the writing of the Chinese characters with the shape of a blooming lotus and 4 blue tiles roofs. According to An Giang Records Book, in 2009, this temple was recognized as the oldest sandstone statue in Vietnam. Legend tells that the Holy Mother helped the villagers to fight back the Siam Army in the past while blessing good weather and rich harvesting seasons to them. Thus, worshippers often come here a lot to touch her statue and ask for her blessing and protection.
• Thoai Ngoc Hau (1761-1829), a mandarin serving Nguyen Dynasty, was the pioneer to exploit this Chau Doc’s virgin soil, establish living settlements as well as dig Thoai Ha and Vinh Te channels. After his death, local people built a tomb to commemorate his dedication of developing agriculture in the 1930s. He was buried with his 2 wives together with a temple in his honor. Thoai Ngoc Hau tomb was designed by a harmonious architecture. There are many thick stone walls around the tomb. In the middle of it, there are temples and tombs for worshipping. Besides, numerous tombs of officials who had supported Thoai Ngoc Hau in the past were also constructed.  
• Back Saigon around 6-7pm
