Detail Itinerary for Saigon Mekong Tour 5D4N (My Tho, Ben Tre, Can Tho)

DAY 1: ARRIVE IN SAIGON CITY

• Our driver will pick you up at Tan Son Nhat airport and transfer to hotel for check in.

Included: Airport transfer and accommodation.

Excluded: Meals, travel insurane, tip and personal expenses.

DAY 2: SAIGON CITY - CU CHI TUNNELS TOUR (BREAKFAST/LUNCH)

• Breakfast at hotel. At 08.00am our guide will pick you up from hotel and depart for Cu Chi - Located 60km from Saigon, Cu Chi is now considered a heroic district for its role in the anti - American war in Vietnam. It is legendary for its tunnels system of over 220km and is a popular spot for both Vietnamese and foreign visitors.
• The peacefully rural rice paddy scenery contains ducks and water buffalos swimming in the rivers alongside the road. Visitors will find it hard to imagine the destructions, damage and defoliation all over the area, caused by bombing and mines when Cu Chi was "A Free Target Zone". The remnants visitors will see that Cu Chi still has her evidence to prove the fierce battleground that took place there and visitors will see the remnants.
• Have a lunch at the local restaurant.
• After lunch, we will visit War Crime Museum (This museum tells the story of war from the Vietnamese perspective. Exhibits include photographs, machinery, and weapons that depict the harsh realities of war).
• Reunification Hall which was the residence of the President Ngo Dinh Diem of the former South Vietnam until 1975 (1960s - Apr 1975s). You will see many interesting things: formal meeting rooms, private bedrooms, war situation rooms 10 meter beneath earth’s level.
• This address today still holds many important functions in HCMC. We have guide who speaks your language to tell you important historical facts about this building and some French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral (Located in the heart of the city, this cathedral was built by the French in the late 1877s. A large statue of the Virgin Mary greets you as you walk into this neo-Romanesque cathedral, adorned by two tall spires flanking either side).
• General Post Office (Designed by Gustav Eiffel, the Post Office is a testament to the French presence in the late 1800s. The look and feel of this grand building is like an elegant railway station).
• Stay overnight in Saigon.

DAY 3: SAIGON CITY - MY THO - BEN TRE - CAN THO (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)

• Breakfast at hotel. At 08.00am, transport & guide will pick you up at the hotel and transfer to My Tho. Board a wooden motor boat to Unicorn Island. On this boat along the river’s bank, you’ll be passing through natural creeks and quiet villages and watch rural people going to work. You will see an interesting fishermen's port, stilt houses. One of the boat’s stops during this trip is at a large orchard that has many different types of tasty tropical fruits for your enjoyments.
• Another boat stop is for the Turtle Island 1 hr from the previous one. Here, on a small row boat, you’ll see interesting transportation modes that local people use to move around. From there, we’ll take you to a bee farm where you have a chance to taste a tasteful cup of authentic honey tea while checking out the folk music that is typical to only the people in Southern Vietnam.
• After that we’ll take you to a village where you can smell the flavor of coconut candies being made many yards away. This is a great chance to witness how village people make candy and handcrafted items from coconuts. You might learn that those people can amazingly make dozens of useful products out of coconut trees. As your journey ends, you will return to My Tho by motorized boat and then travel to Can Tho by private transport.
• Stay overnight in Can Tho.

• Breakfast at hotel. Take the morning boat trip to visit the the biggest Cai Rang floating market with the busy scene right at the time. Keep cruising through the small channels system; visit the rice noodles making village.
• Experience the "Monkey Bridge" in the Delta. Break time for lunch. Return to Ho Chi Minh City via Trung Luong to visit the flower garden. Our guide will drop you off at hotel in Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City.
• Evening time at 06.30pm - 07.00pm our guide will take you to the BBQ Garden or the Vietnamese foods Restaurant.
• Stay overnight in Saigon.
