Detail Itinerary for Vietnam Discovery Tour 5D4N - Saigon - Mui Ne - Mekong

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN SAIGON - HO CHI MINH CITY TOUR (LUNCH)

• Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City. Our driver will pick you up from airport and transfer you to hotel.
• This afternoon at 12.30pm - We pick you up from hotel and take you to restaurant for lunch.
• 13.15pm - 13.30pm: Visit Reunification Hall which was the residence of the President Ngo Dinh Diem of the former South Vietnam until 1975 (1960s - Apr 1975s). You will see many interesting things: formal meeting rooms, private bedrooms, war situation rooms 1 0 meter beneath earth’s level.
• Today this address still holds many important functions in Ho Chi Minh City. We have guide who speaks your language - English speaking tour guide to tell you important historical facts about this building and some French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral (Located in the heart of the city, this cathedral was built by the French in the late 1877s. A large statue of the Virgin Mary greets you as you walk into this neo-Romanesque cathedral, adorned by two tall spires flanking either side).
• General Post Office (Designed by Gustav Eiffel, the Post Office is a testament to the French presence in the late 1800s. The look and feel of this grand building is like an elegant railway station).
• City Hall (Find out why this is one of the most photographed buildings in Saigon. Constructed in the early 1900s, City Hall is a beautiful example of French colonial architecture). Finish Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City Tour at 04.30 pm.

DAY 2: MEKONG DELTADAY TOUR (BREAKFAST/LUNCH)

• 07.45am - 08.00am guide and driver pick you up from hotel to travel by bus or private transport to My Tho.
• 9:30am - 10.00am, when you arrive in My Tho. Board a wooden motor boat (20 minutes) to Unicorn Island. On this boat along the river’s bank, you’ll be passing through natural creeks, interesting fisherman's port, stilt houses (half on land, half on water).
• From there, we’ll take you to a bee farm where you have a chance to taste a tasteful cup of authentic honey tea. After that we walk around quiet villages and watch the life of rural people in Mekong Delta.
• Things get small and personal now. We are divided into many groups and get on small row boats. During this 15 minutes trip, you’ll witness all kind of interesting transportation modes that local people use to move around, while enjoying the fresh air along the canal and beautiful water coconut tree scenery. Away from the city, that is it all about!
• When you feel it's enough for the serenity, let's get back to the large motor boat for something different. You'll cruise a canal whose 2 long sides are orchards. After that, we cruise to a village where the sweat smell coconut candies are in the air. To satisfy your curiosity, we'll get to a village that has many small shops that make coconut candy and handcrafted items from coconut trees of Mekong Delta. You might learn that those people can amazingly make dozens of useful products out of coconut trees. It is indeed inseparable from the villagers' life.
• The time now should be around 12 noon. Time for lunch! Let's go back to restaurant for that.
• One of the boat’s stops during this trip is at a seasonable orchard that has many different types of tasty tropical fruits for your enjoyments. You can enjoy the fruits for free while checking out the folk music that is typical to only the people in Southern Vietnam.
• We end our sightseeing trip. On the way back to Saigon by bus or private transport, we'll have a stop at an interesting point to rest and also have photographs (if time permits).
• The stop will be brief, ensuring that we come back to SG before 7 PM, finishing Mekong Delta Tour 1 Day.

DAY 3: HALF DAY CU CHI TUNNELS TOUR (BREAKFAST)

• 08.30am - 09.00am our guide picks you up from hotel and transfer to Cu Chi Tunnels.
• Before we go underground, we watch a short introductory video showing how the tunnels were constructed. We then spend the next hour exploring the maze of tunnels. Also on display are various mantraps and the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500 pound bombs dropped by B52 bombers.
• Now we go an underground tunnels network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the struggle for independence. It took about 25 years to build this underground city, which has living rooms, kitchens, hospitals, weapon factories, storage facilities and command centre. The tunnel system was an excellent way for the Vietcong to move around the countryside undetected by the Americans and home to around 10,000 people who lived underground for several years.
• Try to shoot gun (extra charge).
• We then drive back to Saigon arriving at approximately 02.30pm - 03.00pm.>

• 7.30am tourist bus or private transport from Saigon to Muine. It takes 5 hours.
• When you get there, you are free time on the beach. Stay overnight in Muine.

Included: Bus ticket or private transport Saigon – Muine, breakfast at hotel and accommodation.

DAY 5: SUNSIRE MUI NE TOUR - SAI GON (BREAKFAST)

• 04.30am – Transport and English tour guide pick you up from your resort/hotel to visit Muine Beach. You will be fulfilled by the beautiful white sand dune. It is more romantic time for seeing the sunrise, slip on the sand.
• Moreover, in the middle of the white sand dune there is Lotus Lake – lotus is one of the famous flowers in Viet Nam. Not only visiting white sand dune, customers will have a chance to visit Yellow sand dune. From the top of the Yellow one, you can see all of the scenery of Mui ne when you can discover the daily activities of the fishing farm. Then we will stop at the Fairy Stream where you can not miss in Mui Ne because of the really nice place.
• After that, we will transfer you to resort around 10.00am.
• 1.15pm - 1.30pm air con tourist bus or private transport will pick you up from hotel/resort and transfer to Saigon City. Finish Vietnam Discovery Tour 5D4N - Saigon - Mui Ne - Mekong.
