Detail Itinerary for Vietnam North Tours 9D8N (Hanoi, Halong, Sapa, Cat Ba, Lao Chai)

DAY 1: ARRIVAL HANOI - NORTH TOURS

• Arrive in Hanoi. Welcome to English-speaking guide: at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Hanoi.

Included: Transport pick-up from airport and transfer to hotel, English speaking tour guide and accommodation.

Excluded: Meals, travel insurance, tip and personal expenses.

DAY 2: HANOI CITY TOUR (BREAKFAST/LUNCH)

• 8.00am: Pick up at Hotel for departure city tour. Visit by coach or private transport trip along the Hanoi Old Quarter
• We will take you past Hoan Kiem Lake, see the peaceful waters, and visit Ngoc Son temple. Then visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum. Enjoy the architectural and historical aspects of Uncle Ho's final resting-place.
• Just next door is Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts. Lying to one side of the Mausoleum is the One Pillar Pagoda, founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049 the structure has become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi. Continue to visit the Quan Thanh Temple (Taoist, dating from the Ly Dynasty) and Buddhist Tran Quoc Pagoda on West lake (One of the oldest in Vietnam). Have a lunch.
• PM: After lunch proceed to visit the Ethnology Museum, continue to visit the Literature Temple and Quoc Tu Giam. Vietnam's first university constructed in 1070, it"s gardens and well-preserved architecture offers a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam's past. Overnight in Hanoi.

DAY 3: HANOI - HA LONG (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)

• 07.30-08.00:  Pick-up at the hotel.
• 10.00: Having short break at stopover in Hai Duong Province in about 15 minutes on the way to Halong.
• 12.00 - 12.30: Embark on Cruise followed by a short cruise briefing and enjoy welcome-drink. Check in the cabin.
• 13.15:  Enjoy lunch with sampling regional fresh seafood while cruising on exquisite water, passing Incense Burner island, Fighting Cock islet, Stone Dog... Cruise will bring you to explore Ha Long Bay on the most wonderful route where just a few cruises go through.
• 15.00-16.30
  • Do kayaking through the magnificent landscape with Limestone Mountains & swimming or just relaxing on the sun-deck for fantastic views at Hoa Cuong floating fishing village, Pearl Farm
  • Join our Cooking Class on the floating house. Let's see how to make the fresh/fried spring rolls and mix fish-sauce.
  • Pass by Soi Sim Beach, "Rang Dua" Island to sleeping area near Surprising cave.
  • Enjoy sunset party relax on the sun-deck for fantastic views.
• 19.30: Under the magnificent night sky, our set-menu dinner is served with a variety of Vietnamese and Asian foods.
• Evening activities:
  • Join squid fishing on boat with our crews. You can enjoy the squid cooked with assistance from our chef.

DAY 4: HA LONG BAY - CUA VAN FISHING VILLAGE (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)

• 06.30: Early morning sunrise can enjoy morning exercise on sun-deck.
• 07.00: Morning view of Halong bay landscape with a cup of tea or coffee and breakfast.
• 08.00: Begin to cruise to some of Halong Bay’s most secluded and untouched areas.
• 09.30: Visit Ho Dong Tien Cave
• 11.00: Kayaking nearby Trong Cave
• 12.30: Back the daily cruise and have lunch. Keep cruising to Trong cave area for swimming or relax on some small beaches.
• 13.30: Swimming nearby Trong Cave.
• 14.30: Visit Cua Van fishing village
• 16.30: Daily cruise take you back the Lavender Cruise for overnight.
• 19.00: Dinner served.
• 21.00: Evening entertainments: play game on the cruise: cards game, chess, singing karaoke, squid fishing, and overnight on Lavender Cruise.

DAY 5: HA LONG - CAT BA - HA NOI (BREAKFAST/LUNCH)

• 06.15: Morning exercises on the Sun-deck.
• 07.15: Having breakfast with coffee, tea and bakeries on board.
• 08.00: Visit the Surprising Cave (Hang Sung Sot) discovered by the French in 1901. Opened for tourists since 1936, now it is a must-to-see and a symbol for geology value of Halong.
• 09.30: Check out time. Then relax on the sun-deck or inside the restaurant to enjoy the bay's scenery.
• 10.15: Enjoying a traditional Vietnamese lunch while cruising back to the pier.
• 12.00: Check out cruise. Our car will be at your disposal to pick you up then drive back to Hanoi.
• 16.00: Arrive in Hanoi.

• Stay overnight at hotel.

DAY 6: HA NOI - SAPA TOURS(BREAKFAST)

• 19.30pm or 20.45pm: pick up at the hotel. Transfer to railway station in Hanoi where you will catch the night train to Lao Cai/( Soft sleeper/4 berth). Overnight on train.

Include: Breakfast at hotel, transfer to train and train ticket with air con soft sleeper - 4 berth.

Excluded: Lunch, dinner, a tour guide, entrance fees, travel insurance, tip and personal expenses.

DAY 7: LAO CAI STATION - SAPA - CAT CAT VILLAGE (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)

• You will arrive at the Lao Cai Station between 5:00-7:30am. There you will meet the bus guide and transfer to Sapa town.
• After having breakfast and a shower, you will start the half-day walk to Cat Cat village occupied by the Black H'mong tribe. You will experience the tribal way of life while enjoying wonderful views of the terraced rice paddy fields and the waterfall in Cat Cat.
• After the walk, you will be back to the Hotel at around noon to check-in and be on time for lunch (11AM-2PM) in the hotel restaurant. For the rest of the afternoon, you will be free to explore Sapa town on your own.
• Dinner will be in the hotel restaurant from 4:00-8:00pm. You will spend the night in the Hotel.

DAY 8: SAPA - BAC HA MARKET OR LAO CHAI - TA VANG VILLAGE - HANOI (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)

Especially Bac Ha Minority Market which only open on Sunday morning. If your plan is not Sunday, so we will change Bac Ha Market tour into Lao Chai - Ta Van tour for you. Thank you!!

• Bac Ha is the meeting place of many different ethnic tribes who come to share their culture as well as sell their wares, food, and livestock. At the market, you will have the opportunity to experience all of the different tribes' food and unique clothing.
• At lunch you can taste local dishes and try the wines made from rice, corn, and fruit. Upon leaving you will see the H'mong king's house that was built by the French and Chinese in the 1920s.
• You will leave the market in the afternoon for a return to train station for the night train to Lao Cai.
• You will have dinner at restaurant near train station.

OR LAO CHAI - TA VAN VILLAGE TOUR (Breakfast/lunch/dinner)

• Breakfast is served in the hotel restaurant from 6:30-9 AM.
• After breakfast you will check out and leave your luggage in the luggage storage room to prepare for your trek. At around 9 AM you will begin your 12 km trek on small trails down the Muong Hoa Valley towards the Black H'mong village of Lao Chai. The Muong Hoa Valley contains some of the most beautiful views of rice paddy fields in Asia.
• After having lunch along the Muong Hoa river in Lao Chai, you will continue along the bottom of the valley to get to the Dzay tribe village of Ta Van to experience their way of life.
• At around 2PM you will be transferred back to the hotel where you can take a shower, eat dinner in the hotel and then head to Lao Cai station for night train back to Hanoi.

DAY 9: ARRIVAL HANOI - FINISH VIETNAM NORH TOURS 9D8N

• You will arrive in Hanoi between 4:00-6:30am at the Tran Quy Cap train station. End Vietnam North Tours 9D8N (Hanoi, Halong, Sapa, Cat Ba, Lao Chai) and see you again.
