Detail Itinerary for Saigon - Dalat - Nha Trang Diving - Mekong Delta Tour 10 Days 9 Nights

DAY 1: ARRIVAL ON SAI GON

• Arrive in Saigon, our car will pick you up at international airport and transfer to hotel.

• Overnight in Saigon.

Included: Airport transfer and hotel in Sai Gon.

Excluded: Meals, tip, travel insurance and personal expenses.

DAY 2: ONE DAY CAO DAI TEMPLE – CU CHI TUNNEL TOUR (Breakfast/Lunch)

Morning Tour is Cao Dai Temple in Tay Ninh.

• 08.45am - 09.00am you will pick you up from your hotel and start to Cao Dai Temple in Tay Ninh - a province 95 kms South East of HCMC, close to Cambodia border. The Cao Dai Temple is like a Walt Disney fantasia of the East. Its exterior is decorated with multi-colored dragons of all shapes and sizes competing for space with a number of swastikas. Above the main entrance is the all-seeing holy eye, the symbol of the Cao Dai sect. The interior is just as engaging as statues of Jesus Christ, Buddha and the Hindu god, Brahma, stand side by side.

• Cao Dai Temple is the eclectic mix of colours and the amazing use of architecture create a space of beauty, spirituality with a somewhat surreal flavour to western palates!  

• For the midday service which was unbelievable in Cao Dai Temple - do not miss this!

Afternoon tour is Cu Chi Tunnel Tour.

• 13.00 pm, after you have a lunch, we will leave Tay Ninh and travel to Cu Chi Tunnel. Once in Vietnam, you must visit this spot. This is where guerilla warfare optimized and exemplified. You’ll learn the clever design of the tunnels and the strategic use of trap doors. Even with B-52 bombers dropping 30-ton loads of explosive, turning the jungle into a pockmarked moonscape, 30 thousand American troops failed to conquered the area! You’ll have a chance to crawl around a portion of the 121 km long, multiple-layered tunnel. You’ll learn how thousands of guerillas managed to stay underground many days at a time, also their great technique to conceal smoke from their cooking. There’re a lot more to enjoy, even a chance to fire real AK bullets…

Finish Cao Dai Temple - Cu Chi Tunnels 1 Day Tour. Arriving Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City at 06.00pm - 07.00pm.

DAY 3: SAI GON – DA LAT (Breakfast)

• 8.15am you take a taxi to Viet Fun Travel’s office by yourself and get a sleeping bus to Dalat at 9.00am.

• 04.00pm you arrive in Dalat and the driver drop you off at your hotel.

• Hotel check-in upon arrival. 

• Overnight in Dalat.

Included: Breakfast at hotel in Saigon, sleeping bus: Saigon - Dalat and accommodation in Dalat.

DAY 4: DA LAT CITY TOUR (BREAKFAST/LUNCH)

• Breakfast at the hotel.

• At 8.30am our tour guide will pick you up from hotel to take Dalat City tour 1 day.  

• This morning, we will visit Truc Lam Zen Meditation Center, Tuyen Lam Lake – so beautiful landscapes, Natural Datanla waterfalls and Dragon Pagoda – colorful decorated temple.

• We have a lunch at the restaurant.

• This afternoon, we will visit the old railway station, Valley of Love – Romantic view and cowboy, XQ Hand Embroidery Picture Gallery and Bao Dai’s summer Palace.

• 16.30pm our guide transfers you to hotel and finish Dalat City tour 1 day.

Included: Transport in tour, English speaking guide, entrance fees, lunch, breakfast at the hotel, 01 water bottle/pax and hotel in Dalat.

DAY 5: DA LAT – NHA TRANG (BREAKFAST)

• Breakfast at the hotel.

• Free time in the morning.

• Seating bus picks you up at your hotel around 12:30pm – 12.45pm to Nha Trang.

• 5.00 – 5.30pm arrive on Nha Trang at bus station. You take taxi by yourself to hotel.  

• Hotel check-in upon arrival.

• Overnight in Nha Trang.

Included: Seating bus: Dalat - Nha Trang, breakfast at hotel in Dalat and accommodation in Nha Trang.

Excluded: Lunch, dinner, drinks, taxi fee from bus station to hotel in Nha Trang, entrance fees, tour guide, travel insurance, tips and personal expenses.

DAY 6: NHA TRANG DIVING TOUR (BREAKFAST/ LUNCH)

• Breakfast at the hotel.

• 7.30 – 8.00am: Bus pick up at your hotel, transfer to harbour and then take you to Mun Island.

• 8.45 am: 1st diving at “The First Marine Proteced Area” in Vietnam, where you can see over 300 pieces of tropical fishes and a large variety of coral.

• 10.45 pm: Relax on the boat and enjoy local fruits.

• 11.30 pm: Continue 2nd diving, you will see other kinds of coral and more colourful fishes.

• 12.30 pm: After a short rest, you will have lunch on board with Vietnamese food and then return to Cau Da harbour.

• 13.30 pm: Bus will take you back to hotel. End of tour.14h00: Transfers back to hotel. Finish Nha Trang scuba diving tour.

• Transport transfers back hotel in Nha Trang.

DAY 7:NHA TRANG - SAIGON (BREAFAST)

• Free time in the morning.

• Relax and enjoy the Nha Trang beach beauty.

• 17.30pm we will transfer you to the airport to flight to Vietnam (19.50pm).

• Car picks you up from airport and transfer to hotel.

• Stay overnight in Saigon.

Included: Air ticket: Nha Trang – Sai Gon, breakfast at hotel and accommodation.

DAY 8: SAIGON - MY THO ISLAND – CAN THO (BREAFAST/ LUNCH/ DINNER)

• Breakfast at the hotel.

• At 7.40 – 7.50am our tour guide will pick you up from hotel to reach to My Tho by air con tourist bus.  

• 9:30am - 10.00am, arrive in My Tho. Board a wooden motor boat (20 minutes) to Unicorn Island. On this boat along the river’s bank, you’ll be passing through natural creeks, interesting fisherman's port; stilt houses (half on land, half on water).

• From there, we’ll take you to a bee farm where you have a chance to taste a tasteful cup of authentic honey tea. After that we walk around quiet villages and watch the life of rural people in Mekong Delta.

• Things get small and personal now. We are divided into many groups and get on small row boats. During this 15 minutes trip, you’ll witness all kind of interesting transportation modes that local people use to move around, while enjoying the fresh air along the canal and beautiful water coconut tree scenery. Away from the city, that is it all about!

• When you feel it's enough for the serenity, let's get back to the large motor boat for something different. You'll cruise a canal whose 2 long sides are orchards. After that, we cruise to a village where the sweat smell coconut candies are in the air. To satisfy your curiosity, we'll get to a village that has many small shops that make coconut candy and handcrafted items from coconut trees of Mekong Delta.  You might learn that those people can amazingly make dozens of useful products out of coconut trees. It is indeed inseparable from the villagers' life.

• Have a lunch at the restaurant.

• One of the boat’s stops during this trip is at a seasonable orchard that has many different types of tasty tropical fruits for your enjoyments. You can enjoy the fruits for free while checking out the folk music that is typical to only the people in Southern Vietnam.

•  As your journey ends, you will return to My Tho by motorized boat and then travel to Can Tho.

• Check-in hotel and stay overnight in Can Tho.

DAY 9: CAN THO - SAI GON (BREAFAST/ LUNCH)

• Breakfast at the hotel.

• Around 7:15 am, we board a boat and travel for about 40 minutes to get to our first spectacular landscape ---- Cai Rang floating market...

• This is the largest of its type in the whole Mekong delta. During this visit, you'll have a chance to board a merchant boat that sells pineapples which come from Can Tho City.

• After that, we continue on our riverine route for 5-7 minutes and then on foot for about 5 minutes to reach a noodle and a rice paper factories.

• The next stop is a rice processing factory where you'll learn the many steps that transform "rice with a brown cover" to the delicious and beautiful rice grain that we consume daily.

• The time now should be around 12 noon. Time for lunch! Let's go back to Can Tho for that.

• We end our sightseeing trip at downtown Can Tho. On the way back to Ho Chi Minh by bus, we'll have a stop at an interesting point to rest and also have photographs.

• We come back to Saigon before 7:00 PM, Overnight in Sai Gon.
