Cambodia, a country full of histories, was a horror for all the people around the world. But now a days things are changing and people do not fear this region anymore. Although the major problems like land mines, improper and broken infrastructure, dearth etc. the beauty of this country cannot be surpassed. Bayon Temple
This temple is a symbol of sea of over 200 huge stone faces. These faces are smiling which creates a great suspense to the hearts of a visitor. These face was designed as a portrait of king Jayavarman VII. It is also said that the faces were a combined portrait of Buddha and the king.
Silver Pagoda
The Silver Pagoda is another richest resources of Cambodia. This has statues and other décors that are gold plated. The jewelry used for decorating Buddha is also of gold made. The most exciting part is this pagoda has a small Buddha, which is made of baccarat crystal from the 17th century. There is a giant sized Buddha too which is jeweled with 9584 diamonds along with gold finishes. Not only statues, the other decorations also stands for meaning that they were enriched with resources before, such as, the inner wall was richly colored by the Khmer artists.
Kratie
Kratie is small town of Cambodia. This city is located beside the banks of Meokong River. The old fashioned French colonial architectures surrounds the other side of the city. In this region, endangered Irrawaddy Dolphins are found. There are almost 70 to 80 dolphins in this river. Moreover, this small town will take you back in time and show you history.
Koh Ker
In the time span of emperor of Khmer, Koh Ker was the capital. This was back in the year of 928 to 944 AD. Tremendously designed buildings and sculptures and monuments were built in that time. And somehow those signature monuments have been surviving a lot many threats since then, but still those are standing all by their own. The main temple is named Prasant Thom. It is a 30m high pyramid shaped temple in the middle of a jungle. This place is one of the most remote places of Cambodia.
Angkor Wat
Angkor Wat means City Temple. The most renowned and important temples of Angkor. This temples are largest among all other temples in Cambodia and also considered to be as the main attraction of the tourists. The Angkor Wat is unique for its design and balancing composition. It is not only famous in Cambodia, but in the whole world for its architectural beauty. It was built in the middle of the 12th century by the King Suryavarman II.
Sihanoukville
This is the sea beach which is situated on the Gulf of Thailand. The white sand and the enormous beauty of the sea will help you relax for the day long.
