Some typical specialties of flooding seasons as Linh dishes, water lilies, and Dien Dien flowers are all sold here. This is such an ideal setting for catching lively moments of flooding season.

Tram Chim national park

  The national park of Tram Chim, which covers about 7588 ha of Tam Nong District, was recognized as one of the Ramsar Sites, whose rank is 2000^th all over the world. This national park is one of the remained wetlands of Vietnam and a vital habitat for Sarus Crane that is a threatened species listed in Red List.

Every year, when the flooding season begins, Tram Chim is packed with colorful dances of nature. Instead of visiting this national park in the sunrise like others, you can start your wonderful journey in the late afternoon so that you can observe the spectacular landscape at dawn with the cranes coming back here after a hard-working day. Being one of three biggest and most famous floating market of the southern Vietnam, the floating market of Cai Rang is a must-visit destination when traveling to Can Tho. Just like other floating markets of Mekong Delta, Cai Rang floating market is always packed with busy activities of hundred boats trading agricultural products as sugar cranes, fruits or even candies. At 10:00 AM, the Cai Rang floating market will close, therefore, you should take your time. If you want to experience the busy scene here, you had better pay a visit to this destination around 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM to have the best experience of the locals’ daily life.
